In my client's kitchen, I installed a cluster of globe pendants at varying heights. This creates visual interest while maintaining the soft, diffused quality of the light. The effect is both functional—adequate illumination for cooking—and atmospheric.
The globes become sculptural elements when unlit and gentle illuminators when on. They earn their place in both states.
